WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Black Arts Alliance is hosting its 9th annual Black Film Festival this weekend.

Showcases include feature films, shorts and documentaries, which will be shown at the Cameron Art Museum.

There are also several question and answer sessions with the filmmakers.

Festival director Rhonda Bellamy says this year's festival may be an eye-opening experience for those who attend.

"What we've endeavored to do for the past nine years is to expose the work of filmmakers who have cast a lens on the African-American experience," says Bellamy.

More than 20 films are being screened in the 4-day festival.
