Stargazers in southeastern NC were met by a perplexing, but explainable sight on the night of Thursday, Aug. 17.

Wrightsville Beach residents have shared photos of bright green water at the shore seen in the latter parts of July.

Officials say two men wearing masks entered the store, one of which brandished a gun. One was wearing green shoes and a long sleeve shirt that was tucked into blue jeans, while the other was wearing a red hoodie and black pants.

Emergency crews responded after reports of a plane crash in the water near Battery Island Friday morning.
