Anne Marie is a an award-winning reporter with a deep love for people and good storytelling. Anne Marie has lived in North Carolina her whole life and loves now calling Charlotte home. She attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she studied broadcast journalism and graduated with honors at the top of her class. She also earned minors in music and history with a focus on classical voice and medieval history, respectively.

Prior to coming to WBTV she worked as a weekend assignment editor at WRAL-TV in Raleigh and interned in the documentary unit at Fox News in New York. While studying at UNC she freelance reported in India, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico and Thailand, most notably, winning awards for her coverage of the devastation in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and telling stories about marriage culture in India.

When she is not tracking down story leads, she loves to travel, run, sing, cook and paint and try new restaurants. She has traveled to 19 countries around the world, most of them solo, and loves to encourage others with wanderlust to go out and explore. Her favorite things to do in Charlotte are exploring the thriving culinary scene with new restaurants opening up all the time, searching for green space to recenter and recharge in nature, and, of course, meeting you to tell your stories. Please reach out anytime to say hello or if you have a story to share!
