New Hanover Co. Health and Human Services director resigns

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - The New Hanover County Health and Human Services director has resigned, according to a representative with the county.
Donna Fayko resigned from the position effective Monday, Sept. 18.
Per a county document with her employment history, Fayko was hired by the county in Oct. of 2020, receiving multiple salary increases over the course of her time there. Her salary as of the last day of her employment was $186,119.
Tufanna Bradley has been named interim director, but will continue to serve as the assistant county manager.
