UPDATE: Four charged with murder after 18-year-old dies from gunshot wound

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department responded to a shooting at the 1200 block of Buckingham Avenue, near Harbor Ridge Apartments and the intersection of Harbor and Flint Drive on Friday, September 23.

Per the WPD, they responded to the scene following a report they received at around 3 p.m. There, they found one 18-year-old male, Jailin Tilghman-Deablo, who was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to Novant Health NHRMC by paramedics where he later died.

18-year-old Damon Stackhouse has been charged with murder. 18-year-old Labron Pryor has been charged with murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a stolen firearm. Two 16-year-olds have also been charged with murder.

Pryor and Stackhouse are being held at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center without bond. The juveniles are also being held at NHCSO Detention Center.

“We will charge all perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law. If these cases qualify, we will see Federal charges,” a press release states.

Stackhouse made his first appearance in court on Monday, September 26. His next court date is October 6 and he was given no bond.
