HWF to hold Azalea Festival Home Tour ribbon cutting on April 9

The home tours will take place on April 9 from 12:30 - 6 p.m. and on April 10 from 1 - 5 p.m.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The Historic Wilmington Foundation will begin the Azalea Festival Home Tour with a ribbon cutting on Saturday, April 9 at 12:30 p.m.

According to a HWF release, “city, county, and state dignitaries” and Azalea Festival Queen Nia Franklin will feature at the ceremony at the Thomas Hammer House at 1709 Princess Street. The tour returns following a two year hiatus for the 75th anniversary of the Azalea Festival.

The home tours will take place on April 9 from 12:30 - 6 p.m. and on April 10 from 1 - 5 p.m. Per a HWF release:

“Tickets cost $40, and may be purchased online (historicwilmington.org/home-tour), as well as at HWF’s office (211 Orange Street), Legacy Architectural Salvage (1831-B Dawson Street), The Ivy Cottage (3030 Market Street), and Wilmington-area Harris Teeter locations. Tickets may also be purchased in-person on the days of the tour, at any of the Azalea Festival Home Tour houses.”
