Columbus County temporarily stops scheduling vaccine appointments, will resume on Feb. 1

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Due to demand, the Columbus County Health Department announced on Friday that it will cease scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments and will resume on Feb. 1.

“We are currently booked for the next three weeks,” a news release stated.

County health officials reiterated that anyone who wants a vaccine shot will get one but it will take time to administer the vaccine to everyone.

“We are scheduling to administer as many vaccines as we will be receiving in our allotment each week. It is our goal to serve the residents of Columbus County as effectively as possible to ensure that everyone that wants a vaccine gets a vaccine,” according to the news release.
