WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The Cape Fear Volunteer Center is in need of 20 people to make 20 turkeys or turkey breasts to be distributed on Thanksgiving to people in need. They would need to be fully cooked, transported at room temperature, to Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2020.

“This year we have a special need of more turkeys because there’s more people in need,” said Annie Anthony, CEO of the Cape Fear Volunteer Center. “But also last year, a very special part of the turkey making team was killed in a car accident and their family had done 10 turkeys each year. So due to the loss of family members and income more turkeys are needed.”
