First Alert Forecast: warming temperatures, eyeing Eta

Your First Alert Forecast from Tue. evening, Nov. 3. 2020

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Your First Alert Forecast features a sunny Election Tuesday across the Cape Fear Region as temperatures grow into the middle 60s. Later tonight, 50s are likely by the 7:30 p.m. poll closures. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s and with light winds some isolated patchy frost is possible.

Major Hurricane Eta will lash Central America, including Nicaragua and Honduras, Tuesday. The remnants of Eta will pose a regeneration risk near the Yucat√°n Peninsula over the weekend. Downstream impacts on the U.S., if any, cannot be known at this time. Stay tuned as we close out the final month of a record breaking season.
