WPD investigating a shooting on Rankin Street

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Wilmington Police Department responded to a multiple-round Shotspotter alert at the 1100 block of Rankin Street this evening around 6:05 p.m.
The 20-year-old male victim who was found at the scene with gunshot wounds was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. His condition is not known at this time.
