Wilmington Police respond to shooting, one man injured

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting near 5006 Hunter’s Trail.
A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times early Friday evening.
The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for surgery. On Monday, the Wilmington Police Department said the man is expected to recover from his injuries.
No arrests have been made in the case as of Monday morning.
An eyewitness told our news crew he heard several shots and believed the man was shot a few times.
