WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department has arrested and charged a man in connection with a shooting Monday night.
Mark Addison Richey, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a firearm in a reckless manner.
According to the WPD, officers responded to the 3100 block of Princess Place Drive shortly after 11 p.m. Monday in reference to a Shotspotter Alert.
Officers found a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. The man, who had non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital.
Richey was booked into the New Hanover County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
