BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - A section of Malmo Loop Road NE was washed out near Maco Road, according to a post from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement is asking drivers to avoid the area.
A spokeswoman for the NCDOT said the section of road is closed and engineers are waiting for the waters to recede to determine what repairs, if any, will be needed.
