First Alert Forecast: seasonable temperatures, rain chances return late week

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Good Tuesday evening to you! Expect clear skies and seasonably chilly weather with lows in the middle 30s.

Your longer-range First Alert Forecast headlines include seasonable coolness plus a couple transient rain chances: 40% Wednesday night to 20% Thursday morning and 60% Friday night to 30% Saturday morning. Winter weather appears unlikely for the eastern Carolinas but this will be monitored just in case.

Temperatures will stay fairly consistent over the next few days through the weekend. Expect seasonable highs in the middle and upper 50s with overnight lows in the 30s. By the second half of the weekend and into next week a gradual warming trend will begin as highs will climb back to the 60s.
