All lanes of Carolina Beach Road reopen after crews clean hazardous fluid spill

Crews work to clean hazardous fluid spill from road

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - All lanes of Carolina Beach Road near Independence Boulevard have reopened after crews with the Wilmington Fire Department cleaned up a hazardous fluid spill from the roadway.

The spill was due to a ruptured oil line from a truck and was first reported around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

Just after 5 p.m., all affected lanes at the intersection were reopened to traffic.
