Brunswick County deputies release audio from weekend armed robbery

BRUNSWICK COUNTY (WECT) - Days after a clerk was robbed at gunpoint, investigators are releasing audio recording of the heist.

“open the register now,” the robber yells. “Give me the money, I don’t wanna hurt nobody.”

At approximately 8:45 p.m. Sunday night, a Han-Dee Hugo’s located on Zion Church Road was robbed.

Law enforcement officers are searching for two light skinned males who were wearing black clothing and blue bandannas. Investigators also confirm they drove away in a white Honda passenger vehicle.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

***ALERT*** Please listen to the below recording from an armed robbery that took place around 8:45 on Sunday evening at the Han-dee Hugo’s on Zion Church Road in Leland. Two males, light skinned, brandished a weapon and left in a white passenger car, possibly a Honda. Please contact the Sheriff’s Office or call 911 with any information. A $1000 reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the two male suspects.
