Pair arrested for break-in at Monkey Junction gun shop

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects for smashing their way into a gun shop last month.

Deputies say Damien Allen and Anthony Allen are accused of breaking in and stealing from Heritage Guns off of Carolina Beach Road in the early hours of Oct. 25.

Video posted by the sheriff’s office shows two people in light- colored hooded sweatshirts smash the glass in the store’s front door and crawl into the shop between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m.

Both men have been charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny of firearms, conspiracy, property damage and possession of a firearm by a felon.

It is unclear how much merchandise was stolen from the store.
