Emergency crews respond to underground gas leak in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Robin Hood Road was closed for about an hour Friday morning due to an underground gas leak, according to the Wilmington Fire Department.

According to New Hanover County dispatch, the gas leak was reported just after 8 a.m.

At approximately 9 a.m., Wilmington Fire Department units had cleared the area while Piedmont Gas remained on the scene.
