WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Your First Alert Weather Team is tracking a couple of tropical systems in the Atlantic Ocean. Fading Karen, for one, will meander just south of Bermuda through the weekend.

Upper-level winds will continue to claw at Karen’s structure and the storm is not likely to survive this hostile environment. Long-term impacts from Karen on the Carolinas continue to appear highly unlikely.

Meanwhile, in the central Atlantic ocean, Hurricane Lorenzo remains an extremely large, powerful storm over the warm waters west of Africa’s Cabo Verde Islands.
