WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Make your child’s summer magical with a camp that teaches life skills and magic tricks.
No Sleeves Magic Camp celebrates 15 years of summer fun this year.
The camp is for children ages 7 to 13.
The camp uses International Discover Magic curriculum.
Michael Rosander, who founded the camp, said the workshops encourage students to put down their devices and interact with the world around them.
He said it helps to build on a child’s character, confidence and communications skills through the art of magic.
He said the fact that the entire staff is made up of former campers who are now counselors is a testament to the program.
“I was never the star of the football team or the straight A student and I always struggled to find out where I fit in best,” said Rosander. “It was when I discovered magic and theater where I really found my niche. I wanted to create a program that lets kids be kids, where everyone feels accepted and they could really unlock their potential. I wanted magic camp to, number one, be fun and, number two, be filled with surprises and, number three, a place you could laugh and make friends forever.”
