WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - More than 80 artists filled the streets with their work for the 24th annual Orange Street ArtsFest Saturday.
The event, held along 2nd and Orange Streets and inside the Historic USO Building, continues through Sunday, May 26.
The family friendly festivities include an interactive playroom, live entertainment, food trucks and old fashioned Southern sweet tea and fried pickles.
Organizers said there is a reason the event typically sees 6,000 people on the weekend.
“Everybody likes it because there’s a lot going on but at the same time its quiet and low-key, its like you’ve stepped back in time a little bit,” said Susan Habas, Executive Director of the Thalian Association.
