First Alert Forecast: Warm temps and sunshine for the week ahead

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Hey there and happy Sunday to you! Hopefully you got a chance to head outside and enjoy this beautiful day we had this weekend. If you didn’t not a big deal, it’s sticking around tomorrow.. and for the week ahead!

High pressure will be in control for the extended forecast. Be sure to wear sunglasses, sunscreen and stay hydrated! Lots of sunshine and warm temperatures with a low chance of pop up storms for the upcoming week.

If you’re heading out to the beaches be sure to check your local life guard stand to the see the latest rip current statement. If you’re cooling off in the water be sure to use caution, especially near piers and jetties. Tomorrows rip current risk is low for all beaches.

Temperatures will be ranging in the upper 80s and low 90s. However, higher dew point temperatures will make it feel even warmer and humid so keep a water bottle handy if you’re outdoors.
