James Madison pitching holds Diamond Hawks scoreless

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - James Madison pitcher held UNCW batters to just two hits as the Dukes beat the Seahawks, 2-0, at Brooks Field on Thursday.

The Dukes (31-22, 11-11 Colonial Athlete Association) remain tied for third place. UNCW (26-28, 10-12) is still in the hunt for one of the final four CAA tournament spots.

UNCW starter Luke Gesell (5-5) struck out seven but allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings.

The Seahawks and Dukes play again on Friday at 6 p.m.
