COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Two men were arrested following a drug bust in Columbus County Tuesday.
Investigators with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Unit received tips from the community that Tyre Javon Lennon, 29, was allegedly selling narcotics from his home on Peaceful Way in Chadbourn.
After completing undercover purchases of narcotics from Lennon, officials say a search warrant was executed at his home on Tuesday.
During the search, agents seized an unspecified amount of cocaine, Xanax, drug paraphernalia, cash, three handguns, and two long guns. Stolen property from Cumberland County was also located at Lennon’s home.
Lennon was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.
He was give a $30,500 bond.
Jarvis Merrell McKinnon, 39, was at Lennon’s home at the time the search warrant was executed and was found to be in possession of one of the handguns seized. Since McKinnon is a felon, he was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and given a $2,500 bond.
