According to CEO Ross Hamilton, the new space feels more like a coffee shop or bar than an office. He wants to create an easy, relaxed setting for his workers.

"At Connected Investors, we originally, we all worked from coffee shops so I wanted to have that feel when you walked in, a real inviting place to come, open up your laptop, look out the window, watch people walk by, get some stuff done, so that was the essence of the design," Hamilton explained.

Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo says having the company in the heart of downtown is another step in revitalizing the area.

"I'm just excited to see what's happening here and very proud of the investments the city has made but also what the private sector has done bringing in their businesses and believing in our downtown and bringing it back to the heart and soul of what this community has always been, it's been downtown Wilmington."

Hamilton says being downtown is a perfect fit for his team and that everyone loves the energy and vibe of being in that area.

"Being able to walk and get a fantastic meal, good cup of coffee, it just creates a type of environment that was going to be really important for us to recruit good people to work for us," Hamilton said.

Connected Investors works to streamline processes for real estate investors and currently has 21 employees. The CEO hopes to double the size of the staff by the end of the year.
