WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Happy Saturday to you! It was a humid, grey start to the morning today, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! Hopefully you remembered your sunscreen if you headed out to the beaches!
A slow moving cold front continues to push east, and will cross the Cape Fear region tomorrow evening into Monday. This cold front will be adding some extra instability to the atmosphere, so we could be seeing a few heavy showers tomorrow afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has southeastern NC under a marginal risk for severe weather tomorrow. The chance is low, however if we were to see any strong to severe storms it would be isolated.
High pressure moves in behind the passing frontal system, meaning blue skies return for much of the week ahead! What’s even better is lower humidity levels! Temperatures will take a slight drop Monday but will climb back into the low to mid 80s by the end of the week.
