WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Music on Market series continues this weekend with Nunsense the Musical.
The production tells the story a group of nuns accidentally killed by their cook, Sister Julia.
After discovering the disaster, Mother Superior had a vision in which she was told to start a greeting card company to raise funds for the burials. The greeting cards were an enormous success and, thinking there was plenty of money, the Reverend Mother bought a Plasma TV for the convent, leaving her with no money in the kitty to pay for the last four burials.
With the deceased nuns on ice in the deep freeze, they decide to stage a variety show in the Mount Saint Helen’s School auditorium to raise the necessary amount.
Performances for Nunsense the Musical are May 3 & 4 at 7:30 p.m. and May at 3 p.m. at Saint Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, Wilmington. The event is free. Seats that haven’t been filled by a ticket holder will be released five minutes before each show.
