Wilmington gas station robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning

Police searching for suspects after gas station robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A gas station in Wilmington was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

Jennifer Dandron, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department, said two men entered the Scotchman located at 2902 Carolina Beach Road just before 3 a.m., pulled out a gun, and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk gave the suspects an unspecified amount of money before they left the store on foot. No injuries were reported.

Dandron said both suspects wore black hoodies and jeans. One of the hoodies had the word “NBA” printed on it.
