WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Happy Monday! The new week is off to a bright start as an area of high pressure returns to the Cape Fear Region. Check out your full forecast below and keep in mind these highlighted points:

- Plenty of sunshine... don’t forget to add on the sunscreen if your plans take you outside over the next few days! Also with warming temperatures and dry days ahead, pollen counts will be elevated.

- Above normal temperatures... after a cooler start to the week, highs and lows will start to trend above normal as the week progresses. Normal high temperatures for late April are middle 70s.

-Next chance for storms... after many dry days this week, the next low pressure system will be moving in from the Gulf of Mexico by week’s end.
