WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Two men were injured in a shooting Saturday morning in Wilmington, according to a spokesperson with the Wilmington Police Department.

The incident happened in the 200 block of S. 13th Street near Ann Street. Officers arrived on the scene shortly before 11 a.m.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, two men in their mid-twenties got in a fight with a third man. During the fight, the third man pulled out a gun and shot the other two. The two victims were transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Wilmington Police Department said it does not have a lot of information about the suspect, and is currently searching for him.

Earlier Saturday morning shortly before one a.m., police said they arrived at 620 S. 13th Street after getting a ShotSpotter notification. When they got there, a man was being put into a car to go to the hospital.

The victim has non-life-threatening injuries. Police are looking for a suspect in this incident as well. The spokesperson for the police department said they don’t think the two shootings are related right now.
