Robeson County deputies seek murder suspect

ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending a murder suspect.

According to an online post from the RCSO, 31-year-old Steltson O’Bryan Davis, of Lumberton, is wanted for the shooting death of Anthony Bethea. Davis is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by convicted felon, the post states.

On Sept. 26, 2018, deputies responded to a home in the 700 block of Atkinson Road in Fairmont in reference to a shots fired complaint. According to the post, Bethea was found dead in the front yard of the home.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.
