BURGAW, NC (WECT) - Industry experts and state employees are scheduled to be in attendance at a workshop for Hurricane Florence victims on Jan. 15.

Pender County Planning and Community Development is hosting an acquisition buyout workshop at the Pender County Commissioner Chambers at 805 Sourth Walker Street in Burgaw from 6-8 p.m. Buyout processes and duplication of benefits will be discussed.

“Attendees will learn how to apply for a buyout through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program," said Pender County Planning and Community Development Director Kyle Breuer. "We’ll have industry experts as well as staff from the state in attendance to assist with our citizens’ needs and questions.”
