WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - It's hard to believe it's already October.

September seemed like a blur and I'm sure I'm not alone in that thinking. The recovery from Hurricane Florence is in various stages as we speak. Some people have yet to be able to even access the damage to their home and neighborhood as flood waters slowly recede.

But consider this: Even weeks after Florence devastated southeastern North Carolina, the stories about neighbors helping neighbors continue to roll in. We've been able to feature some of those folks in the news already. We're committed to sharing even more of those stories in the days and weeks to come.

If there is anything good that could come from this disaster, it's the feeling of community that our region is now sharing.

If you have a story of a neighbor or even stranger stepping up and making a difference after Florence, please let us know.
