Road washed out near entrance to Moores Creek National Battlefield

CURRIE, NC (WECT) - Several areas of Highway 210 in Pender County leading to Moores Creek National Battlefield are washed out after Hurricane Florence.

The battlefield’s Facebook page posted some of the damage, pointing out there’s no definitive timetable at this point to repair the road.

Moores Creek has been closed since the storm, with much of the park still flooded two weeks later. Crews are on scene Friday to start clearing downed limbs and other debris. No re-opening date for the park has been scheduled at this point.
