BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The Shallotte Police Department have arrested a man accused of a carjacking and kidnapping at the local Wal-Mart.
According to police, the victim was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint Monday morning, driven a short distance, and was then forced back out of the 2007 Mercedes Benz R500 bearing NC Registration SPY2333.
Monday evening authorities found the car parked outside a residence in Sunset Beach.
28-year-old Anthony Wade McKeithan of Holden Beach was arrested and faces a number of charges including: kidnapping armed robbery, possession of a firearm, and larceny of a firearm.
