Protecting Your PC From Potentially Offensive Material

Sites like Content Watch, We-Blocker, and even the Anti-Defamation League (or ADL) have free downloads to protect you and your family from potentially offensive material online, even by accident.  The Content Watch page will do a free audit on your PC for pornography or other potentially objectionable material as the site's operators define--they provide a link to show you that.
We-Blocker sets up accounts for everybody that uses a PC in your home.  The software allows websites and words and phrases to be blocked out, and it also quietly keeps a log of where each user has gone.
The ADL Hate Filter blocks out sites and groups that it believes advocates hatred, bigotry, and violence towards others.  However, it only blocks hate sites--nothing else.

For this week in geek, I'm Mark Avery.
