(WECT) - Many people are working out in the new year to lose weight, gain muscle, or tone up, but now they have another reason to hit the gym.

An innovative new exercise challenges your brain, as hard as it works your body.

"We took the science out of the lab and put it on a CD-ROM and added it to a bike," said Dr. Stephane Bergeron.

Bergeron created the neuroactive bike which is designed by Brain Center America, providing a mind-body intense workout that is fully equipped with 22 brain exercises to choose from.

"It is the world's first and only exerciser that stimulates the mind and your body," said Bergeron.

"It is as good as doing the bike or treadmill, but you are just working out your brain at the same time," said Georgina Chumaceiro.

The program is designed to improve memory, concentration, multitasking, and more.

"You do not even notice that you are doing cardio because you are so involved with the program and what it is doing," said Jillian Gil.

Right now you wouldn't be able to find this bike at your local gym.  So far in the U.S. it can only be found at Lady of America in Miami Lakes.

Hopefully you will be seeing the bike pop up in local gyms in the near future.
