WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Some local residents are packing up to take a trip to Washington, D.C. for Barack Obama's Inauguration.

Wilmington resident Billy Rhinehart worked for the Obama campaign and will be taking part in the Inauguration ceremony.

He received individual tickets to the youth ball, staff ball, in addition to the inaugural ceremony.

Rhinehart said the real reward was seeing Obama elected, but going to the Inaugural events is an added bonus.

"I think it's going to be one of those stories," said Rhinehart.  "Everybody has that story their grandparents tell them and I can see myself telling my grandchild that."

Congressman Mike McIntyre's office said they gave away 198 tickets to the Inauguration.  They had more than 3,000 requests.
