NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Police have uncovered a meth lab at the North Chase Apartments off of North College Road near Laney High School.
New Hanover County Detectives, assigned to the Vice & Narcotics Division, conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle believed to be involved in a mobile methamphetamine lab around 1:00 Friday afternoon.
A search of the vehicle found chemicals and precursors used in the production of meth.
Michelle and Ambrose Perry, both of Wilmington, have been arrested and charged with possession of meth, maintaining a residence, maintaining a vehicle, possession of precursors of meth, and manufacturing meth.
According to authorities, Ambrose has several fugitive warrants from Missouri. Those charges are also drug related.
Perry is being held in the New Hanover County Jail without bond, pending extradition back to Missouri.
