WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Spring enrollment is expected to set a new record at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington.
According to a spokesperson for the college, enrollment is up 7% from 2008. The school is expecting total credit enrollment to reach over 8,000 students.
School officials say community college enrollment is up statewide, which usually happens during tough economic times.
In November 2008, voters approved an $164 million bond issue to construct new facilities at CFCC and it looks like they're needed.
