WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A grieving family is hoping the community can help them lay their loved one to rest.
25-year-old Montez Jones was shot and killed on Christmas Day in Wilmington.
Unfortunately Jones did not have life insurance and the family is struggling to come up with money for his funeral.
Jones strived to be the best father he could be and worked hard to provide for his three children.
His family hopes that the Wilmington community will help them give Jones a proper burial and also find the person responsible for his death.
Funeral donations can be dropped off at Shaw's Sons Funeral Home on Redcross Street in Wilmington.
