(WECT) - In the fight against aging, women have a tough time hiding age in their hands.

Now, a simple procedure is changing those boney, veiny hands.

Ann Brown said her quest for the fountain of youth led her to a new hand rejuvenation treatment that takes veiny, boney hands and makes them appear smoother and younger looking.

"With aging, your skin gets thinner and because the skin gets thinner, the tendons and the blood veins in your hands pop out more," said Dr. Rebecca Euwer.

Dr. Euwer injects "radiesse" a dermal filler that volumizes the skin and stimulates collagen.

Once the filler is injected, it is massaged into the hand and spread.

"We're injecting it under the skin of the hands and that's plumping up the skin and it gives an immediate improvement in the appearance of the hands," said Dr. Euwer.

Ann is pleased with the treatment and said it was worth every penny.

The treatment takes about 30 minutes and costs about $1,000.  Results generally last up to a year.
