WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - I have another first for this segment - a "Your Turn" potpourri. I'm doing this so I can clean some messages out of my inbox.
Miller wants to know where all those lottery proceeds are being spent. He writes:
"It is easy enough to find out where to buy a ticket and where the latest winner bought their ticket. I want to see where the benefits to our education system are being dispersed. It should be as easy to find as where I can buy lottery tickets."
Roger wants to change the way restaurants post their sanitation scores. He says:
"I believe that sanitation grades should be posted on the front door of restaurants. This would be a big incentive for restaurants to keep a high score. Potential customers could decide at the door whether or not to go in."
And Harry is concerned about highway safety. He writes:
"It's amazing to me that there is such an uproar about the roadside memorials being a source of distraction when we allow the new lighted advertisement signs to sprout up around town. These signs use a lighting that one can't help but be distracted by."
That's three mini "Your Turns" for the price of one. To comment on this segment, or anything else, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
