WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Around 500 motorcyclists rode around Wilmington Saturday morning to remember the 343 firefighters who died on September 11th.

The Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club hosted the "343 Memorial Ride" at Britt Motorsports on Market Street.

Some of the bikers served as firefighters who responded to the Twin Towers in New York during 9-11.

The first 343 motorcyclists that registered for the event received a T-shirt with the fallen firefighters names printed on it.
