WILMINGOTN, NC (WECT) - There is a group of people in Wilmington who have faith in spiritual things but not technical.

So, to make sure their TV's work correctly after the big switch, they're getting a hands-on lesson from WECT's Chief Engineer "Digital Dan."

The group is from Union Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington.  They're learning how to hook up converter boxes so they can help members of their congregation or anyone confused by the technical side of the switch to digital television.

The church is opening a big switch hotline.  You can call the church with questions at 910-763-9541.  The church will make house calls to help you with any questions you may have.

Local firefighters are also operating their own hotline.  That number is 910-798-4388.
