1 Tablespoon Chopped Oregano 1/2 Tablespoon Ground Red Pepper
2 Teaspoons Salt 3/4 Thyme
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder 3/4 Tablespoon Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon Paprika 3/4 Tablespoon White Pepper
Heat cast iron skillet, if you do not have a cast iron skillet, a frying pan will work, until very hot. Sprinkle a good coating of blackened seasoning on each side of the fish. Pour a tablespoon of melted butter in the center of the skillet. Place tuna steak in the skillet and sear fish on each side until preferred doneness. Tuna is best when cooked to a medium or medium rare state. Expect a lot of smoke when blackening the fish.
