WILMINGTON -- Wilmington's Union Missionary Baptist Church is holding a training session for things digital.
The church is teaming up with other black congregations in the area to launch a big switch education effort.
The Federal Communications Commission is helping out, training young people how to spread the word about the September 8 transition to digital broadcasting.
Black churches are a logical place to start a campaign like this. Research indicates minorities and the elderly are most in need of the equipment and the help necessary to be ready for the big switch to digital.
