WILMINGTON -- The big switch to digital television is about seven weeks away and one group in Wilmington won't caught by surprise.
Some people of the Lightkeepers group, senior citizens who meet at Harbor United Methodist Church in Wilmington, have questions about the big switch.
In fact, some are worried about how it will affect them.
WECT's Jim Hanchett was asked to help explain why the government is ordering stations to digital and what they need to do to be ready.
Jim brought a guide to the big switch that WECT has prepared and took an informal poll in the room.
Everyone had cable or satellite service so they're essentially ready, but are still concerned.
"People our age are afraid of change so whenever anything like this comes up, we get worried about it. But based on what you've said and what we've found out, it sounds like everything will be okay," said Doris Holland.
Holland has the right attitude. Events like the one Jim spoke at, help to clear up some of the concern about a technological shift.
