Wilmington man accused of robbing a bank was found hiding under a house

WILMINGTON -- A bank in downtown Wilmington had a scare Tuesday afternoon.

Now, 44-year-old Nathaniel Davis of Wilmington is in custody after being accused of robbing a bank.

According to a witness, the man came into the Bank of America on Front Street around 2:00 and passed a note to a teller, implying he had a weapon and demanding cash.

The teller handed over cash, and the robber left the bank and was found hiding under a house on Swann Street.

Cash from the bank was recovered, and the man was taken into custody.
