WILMINGTON -- Students at St. Mary Catholic School played with science at their first annual Science Expo.
Tuesday, children from kindergarten to eighth grade spent the day away from the regular classroom routine, by participating in various science related activities.
The activities were presented by some of the science experts from local businesses and non-profit organizations.
In one classroom, students learned about sound from a scientist who calls himself "Question Mark." He showed them how sound waves travel through water and through telephone wire.
The goal of the event was to leave the children feeling inspired and encouraged.
